Racial Wealth Gap Simulation

Thursday, January 8, 2026 (10:00 AM - 12:00 PM) (EST)

Description

Hall Hunger Initiative offers the Racial Wealth Gap Simulation on Thursday, January 8 from 10 am–12 pm. This engaging, interactive experience is designed to help participants understand how public policies have contributed to today’s racial inequities in hunger, income, and wealth. Using materials developed by Bread for the World, this two-hour session walks participants through a fact-based timeline of federal policies, highlighting their impact on communities of color.

Guided by HHI’s experienced facilitators, the simulation also incorporates recent data to make the information more relevant to today and concludes with a facilitated group discussion. The simulation equips participants with a clearer understanding of structural inequities – providing a foundation for informed decision-making, advocacy, and organizational change.
