Description

Scott Geisel will talk about the challenges, potential pitfalls, and rewards of using real places in fiction. He will show how that plays into thematic elements in the newest novel in the series, Wheat Penny, where the penny is three things at once: a copper coin, the real and wonderful restaurant in Dayton, and a metaphor for the novel. He may also reveal some of the specific strategies and practices he prefers when writing. If that doesn’t tire everyone out, there’s a new novel in progress… 

Local writers will offer book and poetry readings in this new series on the second and fourth Thursdays during September and October in the Senior Center’s Great Room.
